In December of 1989, a cute little bundle of black and white fur, named Tori, entered my life and changed it forever. She took me down a road that taught me love and patience. Her endearing companionship sparked a desire deep within me to learn about the breed. In 1991 I began breeding Shih Tzu and, several litters later, I'm still in awe of every birth. I'm never too tired to sit for hours just watching these little miracles. Helping new Mom's with feeding pups every two hours is never a problem. Watching them grow and develop personalities is an incredible joy. We are just as proud of our puppies that go on to be pets as we are of our two that went on to become Champions. As a breeder, I believe that all breeders that put puppies on the ground have a responsibility to rescue others that are already needing a home. One of the passions in my life is Shih Tzu rescue. I've rescued dozens of Shih Tzu over the last few years, and nothing can compare to the sight of an abused, shy dog regaining the light in its eyes and bounce in its step. To see them being adopted into a home filled with tender loving care is a reward like no other. Obedience and Agility training is another aspect of dog ownership that I enjoy. I have participated in both, however, my dogs just don't seem to like the teeter-totter. We have won a C.G.C. Award (Canine Good Companion) and just simply have fun together.
